Our Papago Park Maternity Session

I spend my time photographing OTHER people’s families, so when it comes to being in front of the camera with MY family, it kind of feels surreal. And there’s something especially crazy about it being my very own maternity session! Someone pinch me!!

This was a particularly sweet session for us and I feel ALL the feels when I look at these pictures. The man I love with my whole heart, the little girl who has brought more joy into our life than we knew was possible, and a little boy tucked away inside me, growing like a weed and daily reminding us that we serve a BIG God who loves to give good, precious, miraculous gifts to his children. Cue all the happy tears. Is this beautiful life really mine?

A HUGE thank you to my dear friend Aly Kirk who captured our growing family so perfectly and has given us images to treasure for a life time. 2020 has been a wild year, but when I see the smiling faces in these pictures, I can’t help but think “Psh, bring it on! Come hell or high water (or getting pregnant in the middle of a global pandemic during a crazy election year) I’ve got everything I need RIGHT here.”
